Style Files - Cropped

I am not a cropped top kinda gal. Sure, I love a bandeau under a sheer shirt or cut out top but when it comes to getting the midriff out in, like, public - Big no no. But I loved this embellished tee so much I decided to overlook the fact that it is cropped and bring it home to experiment with.

It will look great with high waisted jeans or even over a plain vest for a relaxed feel. But for Friday night dinner plans I paired it with a chic lace pencil skirt so that just a half inch of skin was showing - that I can just about handle! Bring on New York to get a little tan on my British limbs before I break this baby out once more!

Have a fabulous weekend! Bisous xx

Style Files - Dior Not War

I am a sucker for a printed tee and this one is no exception. To smarten it up I dug my contrast sleeve Mango tweed out of my closet and reached for my fave brocade trousers from Zara. A statement tee like this one needs minimal accessorising so I kept it simple in my 'Holiday' nails and coral lips (naturally!)

Coralista

I am loving shades of coral this season. There is something about that orangey red shade that whispers long happy days in the sunshine. I thought I would share a few coral bits and pieces that I have picked up lately and am wearing incessantly. This is a flattering shade to most skintones and just wearing a splash of it on lips, nails or accessories instantly puts me in a good mood! Time to coral up ladies!

Style Files - Rollin' with da Homies

I had to have this T-Shirt when I spotted it in Urban Outfitters the other day. Justified by the fact that I am off to New York in only 2 weeks time of course! I love pairing a casual T-Shirt with a dressy skirt and heels like this one from Zara. I'm a little in love with the stipes and foral contrast print and think it will work just as nicely dressed up as it does dressed down. Gotta love a versatile wardrobe item!

Style Files - Black on White

As much as I love colour (and you know that I do), when it comes to chic, monochrome takes the prize every time. I am kind of in love with these trousers from Zara which I bought a few months ago and had almost forgotten about. I felt it was high time to cut off the tags and take them out on a sunny Glasgow day! A few bright accessorizes keeps it feeling summer-appropriate and far from boring.

I am still loving my Barry M 'Papaya' polish on my nails - I usually change up my nail colour a couple of times a week but the staying power of these Gelly polishes is fantastic (especially for the £3.99 price tag) and the colour makes me happy! I will change them this weekend but am pretty sure it won't be long until this shade graces my digits again.

Have a sunny Thursday! Bisous xx

Style Files - Minty Fresh

Following a naughty jaunt to Forever 21 on Thursday evening, I decided to build my Friday outfit around this emerald green satin camisole that I picked up there for a bargainous £6.50.  Working in an office, the trouser and blazer combo is a safe one but I always feel the need to freshen it up with a little colour. An unexpected strong lip turns heads but toned down with my simple pony tail and glasses I get away with it (I think!)

I am also loving my bucket bag by Dorothy Perkins - I had to panic buy this at 6.30am on Monday morning in Glasgow airport after the security guy broke the zip on my Guess laptop bag. But I really like it and I prefer the quality of the interior to my (much more expensive) Zara bucket bag. Successful (if unplanned) shopping trip!

Have a great weekend! Bisous xx

Style Files - China Doll

I'm a bit of a sucker for a matchy matchy trouser suit and this ceramic style print makes me feel like a veritable china doll! These pieces will look amazing on their own mixed with other wardrobe staples but I had to take the plunge and wear them together for a full-on 'I'm a little vintage tea cup' look!

My fake tan from the wedding I attended on Friday (see post here) is still hanging around (St. Tropez if you were wondering) and stopped me looking too washed out. My colour pop lipstick is a fun addition to keep the look fresh and young.

Thoughts?

Have a great week! Bisous xx
