Style Files - Caped Crusader

I dug my camel Topshop cape out from the depths of my closet for a walk with Abbie tonight. She picked out a matching cape in purple herself (from Pets at Home). Together we embraced Superhero chic - and stayed nice and cozy in the process!

Loving Leather

From the fail-safe biker jacket to the prim pencil skirt and peplum combo, leather is about more than function this season. Designers have taken leather far far away from the traditional greasy T-Bird bad boy to an altogether luxe look that whispers expense.

For motorcycle chic on a push-bike budget you need look no further than Missguided.co.uk. After several months of seeing the ad every 15 minutes on E!, MTV and the likes (along with 'Boohoo.com') I finally got around to perusing the site and I have quickly become quite an addict!

A Taste of the Orient

There's something about Spring that sees me looking to the far away and exotic for inspiration - perhaps to brighten up our persistent winter greyness. Luckily, I'm not the only one. Designers have gone wild for a modern take on oriental chic and the high street has clamoured to join them. Add a little exoticism to your Spring wardrobe with colour and print and bring the orient to you.

Make way for the VIPs

Saturday night in May fair, rubbing shoulders with the London elite (including Dean Gaffney!). Champagne in our lovely May Fair Hotel room began our night of style. Plenty of opportunities for celeb spotting at the May Fair bar (Ryan Thomas, someone from Hollyoaks, the Wanted) followed by VIP treatment at Funky Buddha across the road. Living the high life has never felt so good!

Wrapped up warm to brace against the snow flurries in central London, Ange and I braved the shops in Covent Garden after lunch at The Ivy. London is freezing today so naturally we had to seek refuge in the shops to keep warm.

Out to Lunch - The Ivy

The beautiful Ange treated me to a superb birthday lunch at celeb hotspot 'The Ivy'. Champagne cocktails and Pinot Grigio accompanied super tasty courses including squid salad, pumpkin risotto, barbequed crispy duck salad & thai sea bass. All come very highly recommended!

As for the clientele - the well heeled of London including those working in fashion magazines to bankers and the likes. Staff are attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is chic but relaxed.

The food is great value for money - they even do a set menu Sunday - Thursday with 3 courses for £26.25 so you don't need to be heir to a billion pound fortune to dine alongside Millie Mackintosh.
