Fake it in Faux

Every fashionista knows the impact fur can make - a well placed faux can create drama, class, expense, not to mention warmth, to your winter wardrobe. Of course, I do not champion real fur and - let's face it, when faux looks this good where's the need to look elsewhere?
Faux fur is everywhere this season. From boots to collars to hats to bags, the luxury it brings to an outfit is hard to replicate.

Following a wardrobe clear out I re-discovered my mountain wolf faux fur muff from Accessorize bought a couple of years ago (see below). Hand muffs were spotted on attendees at Paris fashion week and are the perfect way to keep cozy while the temperatures remain low.

This season, fur is everywhere and anything goes. Take some inspiration from the Olsens, Kate Moss and Olivia Palermo and layer it on! Too much is never enough.

Remember faux fur can add volume so balance it out with a svelte other half - skinny jeans or pencil skirts with jackets and gilets.
